Brandon Taylor was born and raised in a basketball family. His brother Jayson Taylor, played at Seneca High School from 2004-2008. Jason still holds several basketball records at that school. His cousin Tiffany Stansbury won a Girls state championship in Pennsylvania in 2007. Tiffany went on to play for 13 years as a professional basketball player in Europe. Tiffany's father, Terrance Stansbury played in the NBA and currently holds one of the signature dunks that is used for the NBA annual dunk contest.
Brandon started his basketball journey as a youngster in Tabernacle, NJ. He played for Olsen middle school and their legendary coach Micheal Tranco. He did not attend Seneca high school, however he enrolled in Trenton Catholic High School in 2008. As a sophomore his team won the Parochial B state championship against St. Anthony High School, coached by Bobby Hurley. Coach Hurly is recognized as the greatest High School Basketball coach in America.He has been elected to the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. Trenton Catholic went onto win the Tournament of Champions in New Jersey and ended the year ranked in the top 15 in America. Brandon was elected has the 2011-2012 Trenton times "PLAYER OF THE YEAR".
As a senior in high school Brandon was offered over 25 Division 1 college scholarships and he chose to attend Penn State University. Brandon had a tremendous college career and ended up in the top 20 in scoring and rebounding in the school's basketball history. He was a 1000 points scorer at Penn State University
After graduating from Penn State Brandon played for 5 years overseas in Greece, Finland, Switzerland and Sweden. He most recently played the past two years for the Atlantic City Gambit in The Basketball League (TBL).
